Learning Programs

CREST Children’s Sanctuary aims to provide educational programs based on the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) that fosters children to become confident curious learners. We will inspire children to seek answers, be curious about their world, in anticipation of becoming global citizens. We are committed to supporting every child through their learning journey. We will support and inspire you and your child through this journey with a particular emphasis on connecting and learning in the outdoors.

The importance of connection to the environment and sustainability is reflected and embedded in our curriculums. This occurs in a number of ways from teaching children about water conservations through the use of our creek bed and water pump, the use of recycled materials and furniture within the program and the development of our veggie garden.

We have specifically designed our beautiful inspiring outdoor space in conjunction with landscape design professionals, to provide opportunities for all children to explore and develop a relationship with the natural environment, gain a sense of freedom and self-exploration, space to imagine and think, and to learn the skills required to self-manage risk. Opportunities for outdoor play at CREST will not be inhibited by factors such as weather. Children will be given opportunities to access the outside play space at all times during the day and in all sorts of weather.

Our Curriculums are integrated and designed to meet individual children’s needs. All curriculums include learning elements and skills such as:

  • Numeracy
  • Language and Literacy
  • Science and technology
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Sustainability
  • Community Connections
